I freni elettromagnetici della serie CE.FE sono del tipo monodisco negativo (in assenza di alimentazione elettrica il freno blocca la rotazione del motore), chiusi a pressione di molle e dotati di flangia NEMA possono essere applicati in linea ai motori MT2-MT3-MT4-MT5 e quindi ai cilindri di alesaggio Ø40 e Ø50 mm. Vengono utilizzati per il funzionamento a secco come freno di stazionamento.
